Hello! I'm Kate Hope, MS, CNS, Functional Nutritionist and Science Educator. I bring with me two decades of teaching experience in the sciences and years of training in nutrition, to provide you with the education and guidance you need to begin your path to wellness.

I believe in the body's innate wisdom to heal itself, when given the proper nutrients, and I blend the knowledge of ancient healing traditions with modern functional nutrition, to get at the root cause of your disease.  I will partner with you to develop a health plan tailored to your unique, individual needs.

My Clients

I work with clients suffering from autoimmune disease and chronic conditions such as diabetes, fibromyalgia, gluten sensitivity, thyroid/adrenal problems, and infections such as Lyme Disease. I also work with children who struggle with ASD/ADD/ADHD, and depression. I enjoy working with families that are looking to make healthy, long-lasting changes.

I believe the closer we live to nature, and the cleaner we eat, the healthier we become. I help my clients to understand food labels, navigate grocery stores, make healthy, whole food choices, and create nutritious meals for the entire family.

About Me

I've had an interest in nutrition since I was a kid, and I have to say that my thoughts and philosophies around food have changed over the years, as I keep up with the latest science. However, I still subscribe to the belief that clean, whole food is our 'best medicine'.

Growing up in nature, I developed an appreciation for the 'web of life', even before I learned about food chains and food webs in school.  As a 4-Her, I raised animals and tended to the family garden. I believe that in order to have healthy bodies, we need to have a healthy Earth. I like to support and encourage the consumption of organically-grown produce, grass-fed and wild-caught animals, as well as the practice of bio-dynamic farming.

Being the outdoorsy type, I came down with Lyme Disease a number of years ago. Through my struggle, I learned a great deal about the body systems affected by the bacteria and its co-infections, and also about the way nutrition and a healthy lifestyle can speed the healing process. As a recovered Lyme patient, I enjoy helping those in a similar situation.

I also include other suggestions for lifestyle modifications such as sleep hygiene, fitness and relaxation/mindfulness.
